LA’s New Agency for Affordable Housing

 California recently passed a bill to create an L.A. County agency dedicated exclusively to building affordable housing. 📃

Called LACAHSA,  Los Angeles County Affordable Housing Solutions Agency, the goal is to increase the LA’s affordable housing supply by providing funding for new construction and tenant programs.

While community groups are hyped on the idea, many are not as excited given that the funding may come from hiking property taxes. 📈
